Privacy notice

Tool inputs, files and generated results

Calculations, generated content and selected files are processed in your browser. We do not upload your selected files for conversion or send tool inputs and outputs to analytics or advertising services. Downloaded files are saved through your browser and remain under your control.

The browser requests site code, fonts and other assets needed to run the tools. Local processing does not mean that a visit makes no network requests.

Information saved in this browser

We save your theme choice and a list of up to eight recent tool identifiers. The recent-tools list does not contain calculations, filenames or results. Clear it through the search controls; future visits can create a new list.

Invoice and résumé editors save local drafts after you edit them. Drafts remain in that browser profile until you delete them in the editor or clear site data. They do not expire automatically, synchronize between devices or provide a cloud backup.

Browser storage is not an encrypted vault. On a shared device, delete drafts when you finish. Private browsing, storage limits and browser settings can prevent saving or remove stored information. Make a copy before clearing site data; we cannot recover deleted local work from a server.

Hosting and service providers

Google Firebase Hosting delivers the site. Firebase processes incoming request IP addresses to provide the service and prevent abuse, and describes their retention as a few months. This hosting activity is separate from the values you enter into a tool.

Hosting and email providers may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable terms, safeguards and legal transfer requirements. The linked Firebase privacy information explains its processing and transfer arrangements.

Advertising and analytics

Advertising and optional site analytics are not active. AdSense ownership verification uses public metadata and ads.txt; it does not load advertising code.

Before introducing advertising or optional analytics, we will update this notice with the actual providers and purposes and provide the applicable privacy choices. There are currently no active advertising or analytics settings to switch on.

Messages and retention

If you email us, we receive your address and the information you choose to include. We use it to respond, investigate the request and protect the service. Email is handled through your sending service and the company’s receiving service; ToolsOrigin has no contact form or message-upload backend.

Following the company’s existing correspondence policy, messages may be kept for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations. This is purpose-based retention, not a promise of deletion after a fixed number of days.

We process correspondence where needed to respond to your request, meet legal obligations or protect legitimate operational and security interests. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it for future processing. Do not send passwords, identity documents, payment details or private tool content by ordinary email.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can clear recent tools, delete editor drafts or use your browser’s site-data controls. Clearing recents does not delete drafts; clearing all site data can remove both drafts and preferences.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction or deletion of information in correspondence, object to processing or ask about other privacy rights. Email privacy@vhusikisoftware.co.za. We may need to verify the request and explain any information we must retain.

You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa or the relevant authority where you live. We will update this notice when the service’s information handling changes.
