Merge PDF

Combine up to twenty PDF files, arrange them in your preferred order and download one document. Your files are processed locally in this browser.

Works locally in your browser

How this tool works

Join PDF documents in a chosen order while keeping file bytes in the browser. Files are parsed and copied into a newly written PDF.

Inputs and definitions

Choose up to twenty PDFs with a combined size no greater than 100 MB. Use Move up and Move down to set order, then merge and download.

Methodology

Each source is parsed locally, pages are copied in listed order into a new document, and the output is serialized with object streams before download.

Assumptions

The new file preserves page appearance supported by the parser, but document-level metadata and advanced behaviors may change during rewriting.

Worked examples

Worked example

A one-page PDF followed by a two-page PDF produces a three-page output in that same page order.

  1. Enter and review

  2. Process locally

A one-page PDF followed by a two-page PDF produces a three-page output in that same page order.

Validation example

The same workflow is repeated with a second valid input to confirm merge pdf behavior.

  1. Enter and review

Choose up to twenty PDFs with a combined size no greater than 100 MB. Use Move up and Move down to set order, then merge and download.

  2. Process locally

Each source is parsed locally, pages are copied in listed order into a new document, and the output is serialized with object streams before download.

The output remains local and follows the documented validation and limitation rules.

Limitations and common mistakes

Encrypted or malformed PDFs can fail. Combining signed PDFs creates a new document and can invalidate signatures. Interactive actions are not guaranteed to remain safe or functional.

Frequently asked questions

Are PDFs uploaded?

No. File bytes stay in the browser.

What happens to digital signatures?

Rewriting into a new file generally invalidates existing signatures.

Can I merge encrypted PDFs?

Password-protected inputs are not supported in this release.
